SRINAGAR, Sept. 30 -- An amount of Rs 3 crore has been released under the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) for extending relief assistance in the affected areas of Budgam district, including Beerwah Constituency.
This was stated by Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary while replying to a Calling Attention raised by MLA Dr. Shafi Ahmad Wani regarding the plight of people affected by the recent flash floods in Beerwah constituency.
The Dy CM informed the House that in respect of the flood-related death case reported from the constituency, ex-gratia compensation amounting Rs 4 Lakh has been recommended for release to the legal heirs of the deceased, as per applicable SDRF norms.
