JAMMU, July 2 -- A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (Migrants) Dr Arvind Karwani to review ongoing development works in the migrant camps at Jammu, including migrant schools, dispensaries and community halls, and to take stock of budgetary provisions made by various government departments for the financial year 2026-27.
The Commissioner reviewed the status of basic amenities including drinking water, power supply and sanitation in the camps. Works worth over ?100 crore have been approved by the Government recently, including about ?82 crore for repair and renovation of assets in the camps, with tender work in progress.
