REASI, May 13 -- Under the supervision of SSP Reasi Sh. Mukund Tibrewal, IPS, District Police Reasi, under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyan, intensified its drive against the illegal sale of tobacco products on the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Track.
During routine naka checking and patrolling near Bathing Ghat No. 02 under the jurisdiction of Police Post Banganga, a police party noticed a shopkeeper allegedly selling bidi, cigarettes and other tobacco products. Acting promptly, the police conducted a search of the shop and recovered a large quantity of tobacco-related items including cigarettes, chewing tobacco, bidi bundles and various prohibited tobacco products.
