Ramban, May 24 -- In a major crackdown against organized bovine smuggling and illegal accumulation of wealth, District Police Ramban has attached movable properties worth approximately Rs 36 lakhs under Section 107 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) in two separate cases linked to bovine smuggling activities.
The action was taken during the investigation of FIR No. 197/2025 registered under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, and FIR No. 33/2026 registered under Section 223 BNS and Section 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
