RAMBAN, March 11 -- Ramban Police have apprehended one person and recovered a heroin-like narcotic substance from his possession during routine checking.
On 10.03.2026, a police party led by PSI Mahesh Sharma (GEC No. 246155) intercepted and checked a suspicious person during patrolling. The individual was identified as Bharat Singh S/o Piyar Singh R/o Chakka Kundi, Tehsil Rajgarh, District Ramban. During his personal search, 3.45 grams of heroin-like narcotic substance including poly pack (actual weight 3.21 grams) was recovered from his possession.
In this regard, FIR No. 61/2026 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at the concerned Police Station and investigation has been set into motion.
