Srinagar, March 1 -- Baramulla and Budgam Police issued advisories urging media organisations, journalists, social media users, and digital platforms to exercise responsibility while reporting and sharing information related to the prevailing situation.
In separate statements, the district police cautioned that news concerning law and order or public gatherings must be verified through official and credible sources before publication or broadcast. They warned that the circulation of rumours, unverified information, or speculative content could create panic and disrupt public peace.
