Rajouri, Sept. 6 -- Continuing its efforts to curb illegal smuggling of bovine animals, Rajouri Police foiled two separate attempts of illegal bovine transportation in Thanamandi and Kalakote areas, rescuing a total of 22 bovine animals and seizing the vehicles involved.
In the first incident Police Party of Police Station Thanamandi intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK14C-1618 at Vikas Bridge Naka Thanamandi while it was coming from the Rajouri. During checking the vehicle was found loaded with 20 bovine animals. The vehicle was being driven by Sheraz Ahmed S/o Haibullah R/o Behrote. The animals were being transported without valid permission.
