JAMMU, April 29 -- The State Election Commission has extended the deadline for filing claims and objections for the revision of Panchayat Electoral Rolls-2026 to May 5, 2026, with 01.04.2026 as the qualifying date. In a communication issued today, the Commission said the extension follows requests from several districts. The revised schedule is in continuation of its notification No. SEC/Pyt/03/2026/607-639 dated 25.03.2026.
Under the revised schedule, claims and objections for addition, deletion, correction or transposition in the electoral rolls can be filed from March 27 to May 5.
