Jammu, July 31 -- The Indian Army on Friday thwarted a suspected cross-border surveillance attempt by shooting down a Pakistani spy drone along the Line of Control (LoC) in the strategically important Khour sector of Jammu district.
According to security sources, the suspected surveillance drone was detected in the early hours of Friday while attempting to intrude into Indian territory from the Mandiala (Chhamb) area across the border. The drone was spotted flying at a low altitude near the Chakla forward area in the Khour sector, triggering an immediate response from troops deployed along the LoC.
