BEED, May 28 -- One person died and five others sustained serious injuries in a collision between a motorcycle and a car in Maharashtra's Beed district, police said on Thursday.
The accident took place near Wadachiwadi in Shirur Kasar tehsil on Kalyan-Vishakhapatnam National Highway on Wednesday evening, they said.
The injured persons have been admitted to a nearby hospital.
According to the police, a car with four occupants and a motorcycle carrying two persons collided, leaving one of the two-wheeler riders dead at the scene.
Citing statements of the victims, police said the car flipped four times, adding that a probe into the accident is underway.
