JAMMU, July 3 -- A deputation of the Other Backward Classes (OBC) community, led by senior Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Dr. Rohit Gupta, today called on the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, and apprised him of several long-pending and pressing issues confronting the OBC community in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The delegation submitted a comprehensive memorandum seeking urgent intervention for the resolution of various issues affecting thousands of OBC families. Dr. Gupta informed the Divisional Commissioner that despite constitutional safeguards and reservation provisions, several genuine concerns of the OBC community continue to remain unattended, depriving deserving beneficiaries of their legitimate rights.
