UDHAMPUR, April 14 -- A key road stretch from Baba Lodnda to Nansu Shiv Mandir along the National Highway in Udhampur East constituency has remained closed for the past nine months, causing significant inconvenience to local residents and devotees.

The road was severely damaged at two locations due to heavy rainfall on August 26-27, 2025. Since then, the affected portions have not been fully repaired, leaving the route unfit for vehicular movement. As a result, people living in nearby areas are facing daily difficulties, particularly in transportation and access to essential services.
