Jammu, May 31 -- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has convened a meeting of National Conference (NC) legislators and five Independent MLAs, including Cabinet Minister, supporting the ruling alliance, amid growing concerns over governance and reported dissatisfaction among some ruling party legislators over the functioning of certain ministers.

Sources said invitations have been sent to all 41 NC MLAs and four Independent legislators backing the NC-led government for a meeting scheduled at the Chief Minister's Gupkar residence in Srinagar on June 3. Notably, no invitation has been extended to the Congress, which is an alliance partner in the government and has six MLAs in the Assembly.
