RAJOURI, July 4 -- The Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Rajouri carried out a comprehensive enforcement-cum-awareness drive across Rajouri town to ensure compliance with transport regulations, promote road safety and protect the interests of commuters.
The drive was led by Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Rajouri Ashiq Rafiq Malik along with his enforcement team.
During the operation, around 85 e-autos were thoroughly checked for compliance with the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act and other transport regulations. The enforcement team seized three e-autos found violating the prescribed norms and issued 13 challans including 10 to e-autos and three to other vehicles. A total penalty of ?32,000 was imposed on the violators.
