Jammu, Aug. 2 -- With incidents of cyber-enabled matrimonial fraud on the rise, the Jammu and Kashmir Police has issued a public advisory urging people to exercise caution and thoroughly verify online matrimonial profiles before entering into any relationship or financial transaction.
In the advisory, the police asked users of matrimonial websites and social media platforms to verify the authenticity of profile photographs by using Google Reverse Image Search to check whether the images have been copied from other sources.
People have also been advised to ensure that prospective matches have genuine social media accounts on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, instead of relying solely on matrimonial profiles. The police said users s...
