LEH, Sept. 19 -- In a significant step towards making essential government services more accessible to people in remote areas of Ladakh, Lieutenant Governor, Vinai Kumar Saxena, has empowered Naib-Tehsildars, holding independent charge of a Tehsil, to issue Reserved Category Certificates and Income Certificates within their respective local jurisdiction.
The decision aims to reduce the difficulties faced by residents, particularly those living in remote and far-flung areas, who otherwise have to travel long distances to obtain certificates required to access various government schemes, benefits, reservations, and other services.
