KISHTWAR, May 8 -- Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Pankaj Kumar Sharma today disbursed Rs. 5 lakh as compensation under the J&K Road Accident Victim Fund, based on the cases submitted by Assistant Road Transport Officer (ARTO). An amount of Rs. 1 lakh each was disbursed among the legal heirs of four persons died in road accidents, while Rs 50 thousand each was provided to two grievously injured persons.
This government initiative aims to extend timely financial support to those affected by tragic road accidents and reflects its continued commitment towards assisting bereaved and distressed families.
