JAMMU, Aug. 23 -- In response to the heavy rainfall experienced across Jammu city today in early morning hours on 23/08/2026, the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) promptly mobilized men and machinery, including Quick Response Teams (QRTs), to address waterlogging issues in several affected areas.
Areas including Rajinder Nagar, Muthi, Patta Bohri, Lakhdata Bazar and Bantalab witnessed water accumulation due to intense rainfall. Notably, in Rajinder Nagar & Patta Bohri , where ongoing Urban Environmental Engineering Department (UEED) works are in progress, temporary storage of construction material in the vicinity contributed to waterlogging.
