JEWAR, June 27 -- Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, "Renewable and green energy are the need of the hour. Uttar Pradesh has set a target of generating 20,000 MW of renewable energy, and the Jewar region will soon become India's solar manufacturing hub. This will reduce dependence on China and other countries. Under the PM Suryaghar Yojana, the electricity bills of 6 lakh families in the state have come down by up to 60 percent. This is proof of the growing strength of solar energy in Uttar Pradesh."
The Chief Minister was addressing the gathering on Saturday after laying the foundation stone of SAEL's integrated solar manufacturing plant in Jewar, Gautam Buddh Nagar, being established with an investment of Rs 8,200 crore.
