Jammu, May 13 -- As part of its continued commitment towards social welfare and youth empowerment, the Indian Army conducted an anti-drug awareness drive under the Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan at Khanetar, Budhal, Chassana and Songri in Districts Poonch, Rajouri and Reasi.
The initiative aimed to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and narco-terrorism, especially among the youth. At Khanetar, a lecture was conducted to educate participants on identifying symptoms of drug addiction, methods to overcome dependency and the damaging impact of drugs on individuals, families and society. The role of family members, friends and the community in supporting victims of addiction was also highlighted.
