RAJOURI, Feb. 28 -- The Indian Army organised a "Lecture on Drug Abuse" at Government Middle School (GMS) Behthan, Rajouri on 28 Feb 2026. The event was conducted under the theme "Protecting the Youth and Promoting the Welfare of Humanity." Drug abuse and illicit drug trafficking continue to pose significant challenges to societies worldwide. Drug abuse refers to the harmful or excessive use of substances for non-medical purposes, resulting in serious physical, mental and social consequences. Illicit drug trafficking involves the illegal production, distribution and sale of narcotic substances, further contributing to crime, instability and long-term harm to individuals and communities.
