POONCH, Aug. 10 -- The Indian Army organised an "Awareness Talk on Drug Abuse" at Kulali, Poonch, on 09 August 2026, with the aim of educating the local populace, particularly the youth about the harmful effects of substance abuse and encouraging a healthy, disciplined and drug-free lifestyle.
During the session, participants were sensitised about the adverse impact of drugs on physical and mental health, including damage to vital organs, stress, depression and impaired decision-making. The speakers also highlighted the wider social consequences of drug addiction, such as rising crime, family disruption and its negative impact on social progress.
