JAMMU, April 1 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly today allowed the introduction of two Private Members' Bills moved by Legislators Tanvir Sadiq and Sajad Shaheen for discussion.
The Bills seek restoration of the Jammu and Kashmir Land Grants Act, 1960, and the establishment of a university campus at Banihal in Ramban.
Legislator Tanvir Ali Sadiq introduced a Bill which reads: "A Bill to restore the Jammu and Kashmir Land Grants Act, 1960, and the rules framed there under to the original form as it existed prior to the Jammu and Kashmir Land Grants Act, 2022; to protect the rights of existing lessees and occupants; and to ensure that public land serves the interests of the people of Jammu and Kashmir (L.A.
