NEW DELHI, April 3 -- Senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha Nominated MP Er. Gulam Ali Khatana on Wednesday raised concerns in the Upper House over the alleged exclusion of the Gujjar-Bakarwal community from key livestock development schemes in Jammu and Kashmir, and sought a review of their implementation.

Making a Special Mention, Khatana said the nomadic pastoral community, which relies largely on sheep and goat rearing, has not been able to access benefits under programmes such as the National Livestock Mission and the Holistic Rural Development Programme, particularly in the Jammu division.
