JAMMU, Aug. 16 -- Despite rains, the Gandhinagar Morning Walkers Association celebrated 80th Independence Day with great national fervor and gaiety on 15th August at Greenbelt Park. About 250 members attended the Flag Hoisting function, many under the shelter of umbrellas. The President of the Association, Er. Chandra Uday and Chief Organiser Vijay Phoa jointly hoisted the Tiranga.
The morning walkers jointly sung Vandemataram followed by national anthem. The children accompanying their parents presented some patriotic songs.
