RAMBAN, Aug. 24 -- Continuing its sustained drive against absconders and proclaimed offenders, District Police Ramban has apprehended an absconder who had been evading arrest for nearly 23 years in connection with a case registered at Police Station Batote.
The accused, Inder Singh S/o Mool Singh, R/o Makhanpur, Tehsil R.S. Pura, District Jammu, was arrested at Jammu on August 24, 2026, by a police team headed by ASI Ravinder Kumar Sharma.
Inder Singh was wanted in FIR No. 158/2003, registered at Police Station Batote under Sections 279 and 337 RPC and Section 8/15 of the NDPS Act. He had been evading arrest since 2011.
