JAMMU, Aug. 20 -- Acute water scarcity and deteriorating housing conditions have once again hit Jagti Migrant Camp, with residents accusing the Relief Organisation of failing to maintain basic amenities in the 4,224-flat township.

In a joint meeting held here today, members of various camp committees expressed anguish over leaking roofs, damaged interiors, irregular drinking water supply and non-distribution of ration since April, 2026 to those households who have not filed the NFSA form.

The committees said authorities had assured that regular water supply would be restored by August 5, 2026, but the assurance remains unimplemented.
