RAJOURI, Sept. 21 -- Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma has directed the municipal authorities and concerned departments to take coordinated measures for effective management of the stray dogs in the district.
The directions were issued at a meeting convened to review the action taken in compliance with the directions of the Supreme Court of India regarding stray dog management and public safety. The Deputy Commissioner directed the Animal Husbandry Department and municipal authorities to identify suitable locations for establishing Animal Birth Control (ABC) facilities and designated feeding grounds for stray dogs.
