KATHUA, July 27 -- Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rajesh Sharma today chaired a meeting of officers from various line departments to review the damage caused to roads and other public infrastructure by recent heavy rains and assess the progress of restoration works. The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the extent of damage to roads and government infrastructure and sought updates on the restoration measures being undertaken by the departments concerned.
Executive Engineers of the respective departments apprised the meeting of the status of damaged roads and public assets. The Executive Engineers, PWD Kathua and Billawar informed that most damaged roads have been restored, while work on the remaining stretches is progressing on priority.
