KATRA, Oct. 10 -- A 50-year-old man with severe exertional angina and a completely blocked, heavily calcified right coronary artery has been successfully treated at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Katra, using ROTAPRO-assisted coronary intervention.
Angiography at another centre had revealed a 100% chronic total occlusion of the mid-right coronary artery (RCA), immediately beyond a stent placed several years ago. Due to the heavy calcification and complexity, the patient had been advised open-heart surgery and later approached the hospital for a second opinion.
