Jammu, July 19 -- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed profound grief over the loss of lives in the flash floods and landslides and extended condolences to the bereaved families. He also wished a speedy recovery to those injured.
He said the administration, SDRF, police, and all other concerned agencies were working round the clock to rescue stranded people and provide relief to affected families.
In view of the weather warning issued by the Meteorological Department and the worsening conditions in parts of the Jammu division, the Chief Minister announced that he would leave Delhi on Sunday afternoon to reach Jammu and personally monitor the situation.
