CHANDIGARH, Oct. 2 -- "The dream of a developed India is inseparable from the quality of life of its people. Cleanliness is fundamental to that quality of life, and it must become an everyday civic habit. The government has to provide sanitation infrastructure, and citizens have a shared responsibility to sustain it," Rajya Sabha MP Satnam Singh Sandhu said.
Sandhu made the remarks while participating in a cleanliness drive at the Sector 26 Grain Market on Gandhi Jayanti. The drive was held under the leadership of Mahendra Nath Pandey, the BJP's Chandigarh in charge and a former Union Minister, as part of the Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan dedicated to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday.
