Jammu, Aug. 29 -- Government Degree College (GDC) Purmandal celebrated National Sports Day on 29th August, 2026 with great fervour to commemorate the birth anniversary of legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand.
The programme was organized by the Sports Committee of the college under the guidance of worthy Principal Prof. (Dr.) Indu Khajuria.
On this occasion, various sports competitions including Kho-Kho, Tug of War and Carrom were organized to foster physical fitness, sportsmanship and active participation among students. Students participated with immense zeal and vigour.
The competitions were efficiently coordinated by the Physical Director of the College, who ensured smooth conduct and fair play throughout the events.
