Baramulla, April 30 -- Kashmiri Pandits on Thursday returned to the historic Ganesh Temple at Kachua Muqaam in Baramulla in North Kashmir after nearly 36 years, reviving a pre- 1989 tradition that once drew large gatherings from different communities.
Located around 15 kilometres from Baramulla town, the temple used to host annual congregations on April 29 and 30. However, the practice had stopped in 1990.
On Thursday morning, devotees assembled at the Temple and performed Hawan as part of Ganesh Utsav, marking a significant moment for the community. The event saw participation and support from local Muslim residents, who helped facilitate the gathering.
