Jammu, March 21 -- Ms Bala Jyoti, Member (Law) of the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC) for the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, on Saturday chaired a key conference on "Women in Electricity: Current and Courageous" during the Bharat Electricity Summit 2026.
Ms Jyoti, who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, in her inaugural address emphasized the importance of collective efforts to achieve the national vision of "Viksit Bharat 2047." She highlighted the need to encourage and facilitate the participation of talented women in unconventional and challenging sectors like power and energy, which are increasingly becoming innovation-driven.
