Jammu, May 27 -- India mounted a scathing attack on Pakistan at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), accusing Islamabad of openly nurturing cross-border terrorism and using extremist groups as instruments of state policy while pretending to advocate peace and regional stability on global platforms.

Speaking during the UNSC Open Debate on international peace and security, India's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Harish Parvathaneni, said Pakistan's repeated attempts to portray itself as a victim of terrorism stood exposed before the world in view of its long record of sponsoring and sheltering terror groups operating against India.
