Jammu, Sept. 8 -- Jammu and Kashmir's Legislative Assembly will convene for its autumn session starting September 21, with Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather issuing a detailed 10-day business calendar on Tuesday - mapping out sitting days, holidays and the window for Private Members' Business ahead of the government's biannual shift to Jammu.
The session opens on a solemn note, with obituary references scheduled for lawmakers who passed away since the House last adjourned, before the Assembly turns to Government Business the same day. That business will carry through September 22, followed by a pause on September 23 for the holiday marking Maharaja Hari Singh's birth anniversary.
