Jammu, March 7 -- Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday credited the Narendra Modi-led Union Government with fulfilling several long-pending commitments on India's cultural and national identity, while inaugurating and laying the foundation stones of public welfare projects worth over Rs 1,132 crore in Haridwar, Uttarakhand.
Addressing a public gathering after the inauguration, Shah highlighted the abrogation of Article 370 from the Constitution, the enactment of the Citizenship Amendment Act for Hindu refugees, and the completion of the Ram Lalla temple in Ayodhya - a project the Hindu community had awaited for over 550 years - as landmark achievements of the current government.
