Jammu, July 10 -- Apni Party District President Jammu Urban, Abhay Bakaya, today urged the concerned authorities to expedite the construction of protection walls and installation of crates in the Sidhra area to safeguard residents from the threat of flooding during the upcoming monsoon season.
Bakaya stated that it was due to the consistent efforts and persistent follow-up by the Apni Party that the long-pending protection work has finally commenced, although much later than expected. He emphasized that the people of Sidhra are still haunted by the devastating memories of last year's flood fury, which caused immense damage to lives and property.
