JAMMU, Oct. 19 -- The Jammu region has immense tourism potential, but several beautiful destinations, including Mansar, Surinsar, Patnitop, Bhaderwah, Kishtwar and the Seven Lakes of Poonch, have yet to receive the level of development and promotion they deserve.
The J&K Government and the Central Government should give special attention to improving road connectivity, tourist facilities, accommodation, sanitation, basic infrastructure and publicity to develop these destinations and make them more attractive to visitors.
To popularise Jammu and Kashmir tourism across the country, roadshows, tourism seminars, travel and tourism exhibitions, and special promotional campaigns should be organised in major cities. Destinations in the Jammu reg...
