Jammu, Sept. 3 -- The mortal remains of Army soldier Ajay, a resident of Akhnoor in Jammu district, were recovered from the Yamuna River in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, days after he went missing when a motorboat carrying Para Special Forces personnel capsized during a training exercise near the Hathnikund Barrage in Haryana.
Ajay was among two soldiers who went missing after the training accident on September 1. The other missing soldier has been identified as Aryan Patil of Maharashtra.
According to reports, the incident occurred at around 5 pm on September 1 when five soldiers of a Special Forces unit jumped from a Chinook helicopter onto a motorboat positioned in the Yamuna as part of a training exercise.
