JAMMU, April 5 -- Victor Dhissa and Chaudhary Hussain Ali Wafa concluded a four-day tour of the Kashmir Valley, focusing on outreach to tribal communities and assessing their concerns. During the visit, the delegation toured several including Kupwara, where they interacted with Gujjar, Bakerwal, and other tribal groups. Locals raised issues related to lack of basic infrastructure, inadequate healthcare and education facilities, and challenges linked to forest rights and livelihood security. The leaders assured that these grievances would be taken up with the concerned authorities and emphasized the need for inclusive policies for tribal populations, especially in remote and border areas.
