JAMMU, Aug. 14 -- Two Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs), two Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) and two Superintendents of Police (SPs) are among 38 personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Police who have been awarded the Medal for Gallantry (GM) on the occasion of Independence Day 2026. The senior officers figuring in the list include DIGs Shiv Kumar Sharma and Pande Rajiv Omprakash, SSPs Shobhit D. Saksena and Mushtaq Ahmad, and SPs Nasir Ahmad and Divya D.
