KULGAM, April 26 -- Continuing its intensified enforcement drive under the 100-day Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, the Drug Control Authority Kulgam carried out extensive raids and inspections across the district, including Kulgam town, Pahloo, Devsar, and far-flung areas such as D.K. Marg, Qazigund, Frisal, Kadder, Behibagh, and Tengjan.
During the inspections, 11 licenses were suspended, while several establishments were issued show-cause notices and some sealed for violating provisions of the Drugs & Cosmetics Act, 1940.
The enforcement drive was conducted in close coordination with the police, including PS Behibagh, PS Kulgam, PS Qaimoh, PS Qazigund, and PS Devsar, to ensure strict monitoring and prevent misuse of scheduled drugs.
