Awantipora, Oct. 24 -- Continuing its efforts to eradicate the drug menace, Awantipora Police apprehended two persons and recovered approximately 75 grams of charas like substance during naka checking at Shaldraman Crossing in Tral. During naka checking, a scooty bearing registration No. JK13J-8543, driven by Suhail Ahmad Ganaie S/o Ab. Majeed, R/o Chewa Ullar, with pillion rider Adil Ahmad Mir S/o Mohd. Maqbool, R/o Chankitar, was intercepted by the police party headed by SHO Police Station Tral, Inspector Tajamul Islam. During checking, approximately 75 grams of charas-like substance was recovered from them .Both persons were apprehended. The scooty used in the commission of the crime has also been seized.
