India, Sept. 8 -- The UST and Italdesign partnership is bringing together two very different strengths at a time when the automotive industry is becoming increasingly software-driven. UST has completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Italdesign from the Audi Group, combining Italdesign's long-standing design and engineering expertise with UST's capabilities in AI, digital engineering and software-defined vehicles.

The move points to a broader shift in how next-generation vehicles are being developed. Instead of treating design, engineering, software and AI as separate stages, the partnership aims to connect them from concept through production.
