India, Aug. 6 -- India's semiconductor ambitions are steadily moving from policy to execution. The Rashi Peripherals joint venture with Japan's Restar Corporation reflects that shift by bringing together global semiconductor expertise with an established Indian distribution network.

The partnership will see Rashi Peripherals transfer its semiconductor business into a wholly owned subsidiary based in Bengaluru, with a step-down subsidiary in Singapore. Restar Corporation, a Japanese electronics and technology company, will acquire a 26% stake, while RP Tech will retain 74%. The joint venture is expected to begin operations in October 2026.
