Neo4j is addressing this gap with its new Neo4j Context Engine, designed to help companies build a shared knowledge layer that AI agents can use to reason over enterprise information.

The problem is that business meaning often sits across databases, applications, documents, and separate AI systems. An agent may find information about a customer, supplier, or risk, but still lack the relationships needed to interpret it in the right business context.
