India, April 2 -- The latest Kaspersky India cyber attack report 2026 reveals something surprising. Not all cyber risks come from the internet. In fact, a large number of attacks are happening right on devices, without needing an online connection.

Nearly one in three users in India faced such on-device threats. That's 29.8% of users. It shows a shift in how attackers are working. They are no longer relying only on phishing emails or fake websites. Instead, they are going local-through USB drives, removable media, and offline tools.

The numbers paint a worrying picture. Kaspersky detected over 64 million local incidents in India in just one year. That puts the country among the most affected globally when it comes to offline cyber risks...
