India, July 20 -- Governments may soon redefine what it means to protect national assets in the digital era. According to Gartner, at least 15% of nations in geopolitically volatile regions are expected to establish formal data embassy agreements by 2029. The shift signals a move away from relying only on domestic data localisation toward building resilient digital infrastructure that can survive major disruptions.
